Shirestone: Shirestone is seamless, bacteria resistant, stain
resistant, fade resistant and durable. You can spill bleach on
it, red wine, food coloring, tea etc. Choose it for kitchens,
bathroom, outdoor grills or custom table.
Care Instruction:
Clean with any non-abrasive cleaner. We see no reason to
use harsh chemicals. A microfiber cloth with water is great
for everyday use. A vinegar and water spray is all you need
for food clean up.
Do not cut directly on the surface. It doesn't scratch
easily, but no product in indestructable. |

Quartz stones are a 7 pm the Moh's hardness scale. It has
diamond like hardness. Laboratory tests prove that quartz is
twice the strength of granite.
Like Shirestone, it is seamless bacteria resistant, mold
resistant, stain resistant and durable. The only exception is
that the internal resin that makes quartz mold and stain resistant
also makes it sensitive to sunlight. So, we only recommend it
on outdoor bars with total shade.
Use Quartz for bathroom vanties, tub decks, kitchen counters and
custom tables. People like to say that you can put a hot pot on
granite and quartz. While this is generally true.
Neither is warranted for scorching or heat-related cracking. Both
Cambria and Silestone have 10 Year warranty. Granite has
a 1-year warranty on installation only. It is not warranted
for fissures and cracks like Cambria is. |
